Integration
Engineer
To extend its discovery potential, the LHC will need a
major upgrade to increase its luminosity (rate of
collisions) by a factor of 10 beyond its design value.
The HL-LHC is the project that will develop the new
technologies and be in charge of the design,
production, installation and commissioning of the
equipment required to reach this objective.
You will join the Integration coordination team to:
- Analyze
the equipment installation needs in terms of
space, general services and technical services.
- Identify
possible issues at very early stage proposing
solutions thanks to imaginative approach or
dealing with conflicting requirement from
different system owner.
- Identify
possible cost saving and or performance
improvement solutions and prepare installations
lay-out that take into account the installation
sequence and optimized for schedule and costs.
- Follow
up the preparation of the machine la-out
interfacing between the beam physics groups and
the equipment group when necessary. If required
follow up worksite preparation and tests on the
ground.
- Development
of web pages and documentation preparation.
Profile: Industrial engineer
Experience with the design of industrial process,
installation worksites (power plant, chemical,
industrial assembly chain) or civil engineering
construction are assets.
Candidates will be expected to possess a good working
knowledge of either English or French.
Candidates will face a video interview and if required
a face interview.

Job
description:
- As
a Civil Engineering Project Manager, you will
be responsible for the execution of
underground and surface structures from the
initial conceptual design to the final
delivery to the end users.
Competence and experience requirements :
- Proven
experience in managing large projects for
underground and surface structures is
mandatory.
- Ability
to manage large contracts for both design work
and on-site construction.
- Proven
experience in preparing call for tenders and
selection of firms.
Extra requirements :
- Excellent
negotiation and organisational skills.
- Capable
of working in a team.
- Significant
experience in the field of Project Management.
Profile: Civil engineer or mining engineer
Candidates will be expected to possess a good
working knowledge of either English or French.
