GS-ASE-EPS
The selected candidate will join the CMMS service team in the GS/ASE group and participate in the ongoing deployment of "infor EAM" at CERN. "Inform EAM" is a modern Enterprise Asset Management application that is used throughout the whole organization to manage and optimaze the performance and maintenance of our installations. This includes everything from high-tech accelerator components to tecnical infrastructure linked to electricity, cooling and ventilation, as well as buildings and roads.
The assigned tasks would comprise studying the different available Infor EAM modules and to investigate how the available functionality can be customized and practically applied in the different equipment groups. This includes also asiting teams currently with other tools in oder to move towards the adoption of this CERN-wide solution, by anayzing their particular needs as well as to participate in the daily support activities.
The proposed job implies extensive use of Infor EAM which is a web based application for which an initial training will be provided. Still basic knowledge of databases ad general reporting capabilities are nevertheless required to fully understand the capabilities and limitations on the underlaying system infrastructure. Academic best practice and/or practical experience of an industrial operation and maintenance environment wold be a plus.

Software Engineer working in a small team developing a Web based Java Enterprise Application to orchestrate and automate the process of applying structural changes to the organization.
The application will interface to many of CERNs corporate applications (HR, Purchasing, Logistics, Project Management, e-Business, etc.).
Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies would be an advantage:
XML Web Services
SQL Databases
Enterprise Java
BPEL
Web Application Development Training will be provided to successful candidates where necessary.
Candidates will be expected to possess a good working knowledge of either English or French.
